Irving Community Television spotlights rail anniversaries

Irving is home to five light rail stations, with the first three opening in 2012. Irving Community Television Network came to the customer events at Union Station marking the 20th anniversary of the debut of DART Rail.

Later this year, DART will mark the 20th anniversary of the Trinity Railway Express. On Dec. 30, 1996, the South Irving Station (now Downtown Irving/Heritage Crossing Station) was the end of the line for the first 10 miles of commuter rail. Today, Irving has two TRE rail stations, with the second one at West Irving.
