Buy your DART pass, grab your friends or family, and head over to the AT&T Performing Arts Center for an evening with the Dallas Black Dance Theatre. The dance troupe has only three remaining performances of the season, May 20-22.
DBDT’s “Spring Celebration” is comprised of three works. A highlight of the show is a Korean ensemble, who will perform Bound. Choreographed by Bridget L. Moore, Bound explores the boundaries of the human condition through dance and cultural exchange.
RED, by Bruce Wood®, will send Dallas Black Dance Theatre dancers into high gear with kinetic energy fueled by a pulsating violin score by Philip Glass. Oremus, choreographed by Richard A. Freeman-Carter, brings new meaning to dancing on the table.
The performances will be held in the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre, one of the world’s most innovative theater facilities. Take DART to Pearl/Arts District Station, then it’s an easy 0.5 mile walk to the theater.
