Rider Insider: DART to fun activities this weekend at the Irving Convention Center

It’s a busy weekend at the Irving Convention Center with two festivals going on for the sports fan, beer enthusiast (or both)! Hop on the Orange Line to Irving Convention Center Station for both events:

• Mar. 11-12: The 30th annual Bluebonnet Brew-off is at the Irving Convention Center, 500 W. Las Colinas Boulevard. The People’s Choice Competition will again show the excitement each club can bring with their own style. The People’s Choice Competition will start after the Tasting Glass Evaluation Clinic Friday night. The guest speaker this year is Vinnie Cilurzo, co-owner and brewmaster of Russian River Brewing Company in Santa Rosa, California. Hours are Friday from 1:00 to 10:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Information:www.bluebonnetbrewoff.org.

• The DFW Golf Show is back and you won’t want to miss this three-day golf extravaganza unlike any other in North Texas. There will be over 80 exhibitors, top manufacturers, great deals on equipment and much more. Admission prices (subject to change) are $13 for adults, $11 for seniors (60+) and free for children 12 and under. The show is at the Irving Convention Center, 500 W. Las Colinas Boulevard. Hours are 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. Information: dfwgolfshow.com.
