Clown Around at the Dallas Children’s Health Holiday Parade on Dec. 5

Parade (C1412061976)

Proceeds from the parade benefit the Child Life department at Children’s Medical Center Dallas and throughout the Children’s Health system.

This Saturday, kick-off the holiday season at the Dallas Children’s Health℠ Holiday Parade in Downtown Dallas, one of the nation’s best children’s parades. Enjoy giant inflatable balloons, marching bands, equestrian teams, dance troops, colorful floats and the season’s first appearance of St. Nick himself at the 28th annual parade.

Come early to grab a good seat, then enjoy free family activities in Main Street Garden, Belo Garden and City Hall Plaza. Park activities and pre-show performances begin at 8 a.m. and continue until the parade begins at 10 a.m.

This year, you can ride the Trinity Railway Express with the parade clowns to the parade or greet them at Union Station! The clowns will board the first eastbound train (PARCL) at the TRE’s Medical/Market Center Station and arrive at Union Station at 7:30 a.m.

The parade route is a short walk from DART’s Convention Center, Union, West End, Akard and St. Paul stations. For those coming from the west, check out the TRE’s special Children’s Parade schedule. Plan your trip with DART’s trip planner or Google maps.

DART’s free GoPass app is the easiest way to purchase your transit pass. Buy tickets in advance for everyone in your group with a single purchase and store them on your phone. Download the GoPass app from the App Store or the Google Play store.

Please note that the parade will cause temporary detours to some DART bus routes that travel through downtown Dallas.

Tag DART with #dartable as you share your photos of your trip on social media. We would love to see the parade through the eyes of our riders.
