Wednesday, November 11 is Veteran’s Day and DART is your easiest way to the 2015 Dallas Veterans Day Parade, one of the largest in the country. This year’s parade theme is “Commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the End of World War II” and events will include military displays, oaths of enlistment, 11th hour ceremonies and more.

The parade begins shortly after 11 a.m. and lasts approximately one hour. The route starts in Downtown Dallas at Houston and Young streets, then proceed east down Main Street and finish traveling south on Ervay Street to Dallas City Hall.

Did you know that DART is a regular participant in the Dallas Veterans Day Parade? Military veterans make up 12 percent of DART’s workforce.

To get to the 2015 Dallas Veterans Day Parade take the Red, Blue, Orange or Green Line or West End Station or Akard Station, then walk a couple blocks south to Main Street to watch the parade.

The parade will place a number of bus routes on detour beginning at approximately 11 a.m. and continuing through the duration of the parade. Bus routes affected include: 1, 2, 11, 12, 19, 21, 26, 29, 35, 42, 49, 52, 59, 60, 63, 76, 110, 111, 161, 164, 206, 283 and D-Link (722).
