• Ride the DART Rail Orange Line to Irving Convention Center Station Saturday for the North Texas Beer and Wine Festival. The event will feature 100’s of craft, specialty and imported beers and wines from dozens of breweries and wineries. Guests can attend home brewing clases, keynote speakers, culinary demonstrations or just relax to some great live music in the open air beer garden located on the 2nd floor terrace. • Ride the DART Rail Blue Line to Downtown Garland Station Friday for the Garland Symphony Orchestra. Joining the orchestra this Friday, May 9 will be Texas pianist and 2013 Van Cliburn competitor, Alex McDonald returning for a solo appearance. The Garland Symphony Orchestra performances are at the Granville Arts Center, 300 N. Fifth St. Information: www.garlandsymphony.org.
