Reminder: Join us For National Get on Board Day April 25

Get On Board GoPass special event 10

The DART board signed a proclamation recognizing April 25 as National Get on Board Day. Remember to join us on the System from 7-9 a.m. on Thursday as we show our appreciation for riders like you.

DART will join with Trinity Railway Express (TRE), Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA), Trinity Metro and other public transportation systems nationwide to participate in National Get on Board Day.

The event is a new national awareness and advocacy day showcasing the benefits public transportation brings to our communities.

Thirteen DART rail stations will be holding a ‘Get on Board Blitz’ from 7-9 a.m. Agency volunteers will say thank you to customers, highlight agency initiatives and promote regional public transit with gifts and prizes.

Look for customer appreciation activities taking place at these DART stations:

Every year, 62.5 million people ‘get on board’ a DART bus or train. Across the country, 34 million times each weekday, people board public transportation. Research shows that every $1 invested in public transportation generates approximately $4 in economic returns and that 87% of public transportation trips directly benefit the economy by getting customers to work and connecting them to local businesses.
