Explore New Foods at the State Fair

What’s a fair without fried food, delicious sweets and savory appetizers that satisfy your taste buds?

This year’s State Fair of Texas® brings in new dishes, and DART can take you to experience all the tasty treats.

If you’re in the mood for something sweet, you can grab a spoon and try Howdy Homemade’s Dr Pepper Chocolate Chip Ice Cream. The desert is a super-premium ice cream loaded with Dr Pepper flavor and mini chocolate chips.

If you’re wanting something to warm your soul, snag some soul food with a bowl of Bacon Cream Corn. The dish includes savory bacon and sweet whole-kernel corn combined with a buttery rich cream sauce.

If crunchy and delicious is what you have in mind, try some Fried Cajun Crisps. These shrimp flavored chips are deep fried into perfectly crispy puffs and then sprinkled right out of the fryer with a special Cajun seasoning for maximum flavor.

DART makes your food adventure easy to get to with the GoPass℠ app. Use the app to purchase both your State Fair of Texas general admission tickets and DART transit passes. You can save $2 off State Fair of Texas admission when you use the app. Set up your GoPass account, buy your tickets in advance, but DON’T activate them until the day you use them. The app is free through the Google Play store or the App Store.
