Bring a blanket or lawn chair, pack a picnic, buy your DART pass, and head to Downtown Garland for a free movie with family and friends this Friday night!
First Friday Flicks is offered by the city of Garland on the first Friday of each month through October. Movies begin at sundown, but come early so you can find the perfect spot to watch the Aug. 5 showing of The Neverending Story.
Garland’s free outdoor movies feature classic films from the 80s and 90s, and are shown at Heritage Crossing, located at Sixth and Walnut streets. The best way to get there is by taking DART’s Blue Line to the Downtown Garland Station. Be sure and take advantage of DART’s free GoPass℠ app, which is available in the App Store and the Google Play store. On GoPass, you can buy and store your tickets on your phone, access travel tools and rider alerts, and look up events and offers. Learn more at DART.org/GoPass.
