Festival season is in full swing! From art to music to food, there are lots of things to discover in North Texas. Best of all, many festivals are easily accessible on DART. Here are just a few:
Richardson’s Wildflower! Arts and Music Festival is May 20-22 at Galatyn Park. This year’s lineup of mainstage acts includes Peter Frampton, Toadies, The Guess Who, Survivor, John Waite, Hoobastank and Soul Asylum. Take DART’s Red or Orange Line to Galatyn Park Station.
Farmers Branch Historical Park, a DARTable gem, is the location for the May 28 Liberty Fest. This Stars & Strings event, featuring a special performance by the Dallas Wind Symphony, is an opportunity celebrate our nations heroes. There will be plenty of activities for the whole family including historical structure tours, bounce houses for the kids, and a finale fireworks show. Take the Green Line to the Farmers Branch Station.
Canal Fest returns June 11 for another year of fun, food, music, and culture! Set along the beautiful Mandalay Canal in Las Colinas, this festival includes a local art exhibit, cultural dance displays, a variety of activities and attractions, live music, a food court, and much more. The best way to get there is by taking the Orange Line to DART’s Las Colinas Urban Center Station.
