Portion Of Dallas Streetcar To Close As Expansion Nears, Effective Wednesday, April 13, 2016

Beginning Wednesday, April 13, construction will require the partial closure of the Dallas Streetcar for approximately five weeks.

The free service will operate from Dallas Union Station to Oakenwald Station only. Between Oakenwald and Beckley Station, customers may use Route 722 D-Link Monday through Saturday, 11:30 a.m.-midnight. During non-D-Link hours, a free DART shuttle will serve that segment.

The construction is necessary to physically connect the current streetcar and its future extension to the Bishop Arts area, scheduled for completion in August. The work will also cause the relocation of several bus stops along Colorado Blvd.
