Rider Insider: Find fun activities this weekend in Dallas-Fort Worth

• Ride DART to Addison Transit Center, then a short walk for the Out of the Loop Fringe Festival at the WaterTower Theatre. Over the past 15 years, WaterTower Theatre has hosted more than 120 artists and companies in its nationally acclaimed fringe festival. Now recognized as one of the most important fringe festivals in the country, the Out of the Loop Festival has been instrumental in providing a forum for new works, new artists and emerging voices in the arts. This 11-day celebration of dance, music, theatre, and visual arts runs February 25 – March 6. The WaterTower Theatre is located at the Addison Theatre Centre, 15650 Addison Road. Information: www.watertowertheatre.org.

• Ride the DART Rail Red Line to Galatyn Park Station for ArtsPower’s newest musical, Chicken Dance, portraying the colorful story of Marge and Lola, two barnyard chickens on a mission to win the barnyard talent contest first prize of two tickets to see the great Elvis Poultry in concert! But first, they must present a performance that will score higher than a flock of very talented ducks, who seem to have the contest locked up. See Chicken Dance Feb. 28 at 2:30 p.m. at the Charles W. Eisemann Center, 2351 Performance Dr. Information: eisemanncenter.com.
