Bush Turnpike Station to become CityLine/Bush Station in March

Since its opening 14 years ago, the northern most DART Rail station in Richardson has been called Bush Turnpike Station, but beginning on March 14, the station will have a new name: CityLine/Bush Station.

The city of Richardson requested the station name change to reflect the build-out of the adjacent $1.5 billion CityLine development. CityLine has become a popular DARTable destination with the construction of office buildings, restaurants, apartments and more.

The DART Board of Directors approved the request as part of DART’s Transit Facility Naming Process.

Bush Turnpike Station is the fourth station to be renamed. CityPlace/Uptown, Pearl/Arts District, and Downtown
Irving/Heritage Crossing stations were re-named in 2012 to better reflect the well-known destination and enhanced growth around each station.

DART asks riders to please pardon the dust while signs, maps and more are changed out around the new CityLine/Bush Station.
