Rider Insider: Find fun holiday activities this weekend in Dallas-Fort Worth

• Ride the DART Rail Red Line or Blue Line to Convention Center Station Saturday for Dallas Park and Recreation presents Deck the City Hall. City Hall Plaza is getting all decked out for the holiday and you’re invited! Deck the City Hall is a free, family-friendly holiday festival at City Hall Plaza. It’s all happening Saturday, December 19 from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. Enjoy music, food trucks, train and carriage rides and photos with Santa. Kids, be sure to visit Santa’s Letter Writing Workshop and don’t miss your chance to ice skate on the Plaza. Information: dallasparks.org.

• Ride the DART Rail Green Line to Baylor University Medical Center Station Saturday for the Deep Ellum Outdoor Market. This monthly event features handmade crafts, vintage stuff and food from local vendors. It’s a family-friendly experience with live music and an array of rare, uncommon and peculiar goods – and people to match. It takes place from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Crowdus Street between Main and Elm. Information: facebook.com/deepellummarket.
