Rider Insider: Find fun holiday activities this weekend in Dallas-Fort Worth

Ride the DART Rail Red Line or Blue Line to Union Station and Convention Center Station Sunday for the 2015 Dallas Marathon, Half Marathon and Behringer Relay races. The 26.2 miles of the marathon course will remain consistent with the 2014 race course. The events will start and finish in downtown Dallas. Behringer Relay participants will follow the same route as the marathon, with half marathon runners veering off near mile 9.5 on their return to the finish line. The Dallas Marathon race course highlights iconic Dallas landmarks and is recognized as the official marathon of the city of Dallas. It all starts at 8:05 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 13 on Young Street at Griffin. Ride the DART Rail Green Line to Fair Park Station for KwanzaaFest, the free, two-day festival held in Fair Park. Family friendly activities and services include mini-concerts with local singers, dancers and performers; a variety of vendors; dedicated children’s activities; health screenings; and more. KwanzaaFest takes place Saturday 10 a.m.-7 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.-6 p.m. in the Automobile Building, 1010 First Ave. Free ticket required for admission. Information: www.facebook.com/KwanzaaFest.
