For the first time, the Original Light Beer is partnering with Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) and Andrews Distributing to help ring in the New Year safely. Miller Lite Free Rides® will be available on all DART buses and trains and the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday, December 31.
“We’re excited to bring our flagship Free Rides program to the Dallas community,” said Gene Giron, Responsibility Initiatives Manager for MillerCoors. “Our new partnership with DART is part of MillerCoors overall commitment to help prevent drunk driving by bringing alcohol responsibility programs to more markets. Working together, Miller Lite, DART and Andrews Distributing will ensure people have a great time this New Years Eve and get home safely.”
DART bus and rail service and TRE trains will operate on their regular weekday schedules. DART Rail will operate until 2 a.m. In addition, a special westbound TRE train will depart Victory Station 20 minutes after the conclusion of the Dallas Stars-Nashville Predators game at American Airlines Center.
“DART is a safe and convenient option for getting around the Dallas area, and we’re proud to partner with Miller Lite to further incentivize the community to take a Free Ride on New Year’s Eve,” said Gary Thomas, President/Executive Director for Dallas Area Rapid Transit. “We hope people will take advantage of the free service and leave the driving to us.”
“As a member of the Dallas community for nearly 40 years, Andrews Distributing is proud to partner with Miller Lite and DART to ensure everyone has a happy, safe and responsible New Year’s Eve,” said David Holt, Andrews Distributing Vice President of Brand Building.
