Rider Insider: Find fun holiday activities this weekend in Dallas-Fort Worth

• Ride the DART Rail Green Line to Fair Park Station or MLK, Jr. Station this weekend for Holiday Delights at Fair Park. This free holiday festival and market marks the beginning of a full season of holiday events at Fair Park. It’s happening Thursday, December 3rd from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. Enjoy the lighting of the tree, carolers, arts and crafts, carriage and train rides, a reindeer petting area and photos with Santa. New this year, enjoy a snow hill, complete with a snow baseball field. Also enjoy hayrides and Annabelle’s Petting Zoofari. The festivities continue Friday, December 5th through Sunday, December 6th. • Ride the D-Link (Route 722) bus Saturday to Celebrate the Holidays at Klyde Warren Park from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Ginsburg Family Great Lawn. Activities through out the day will include free photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, live reindeer, Holiday kids crafts, a mailbox to send letters to Santa, face painting, food trucks, activities and demonstrations from our Dallas arts and cultural friends and neighbors, Holiday music entertainment and a tree lighting of the Klyde Warren Park Christmas tree. The celebration culminates with the lighting of the park’s tree at 5:45 p.m. Following the tree lighting, Santa and Mrs. Claus will lead the crowd to the AT&T Performing Arts Center. Attendees are encouraged to make the five-minute walk from Klyde Warren Park where the Reliant Lights Your Holidays festivities will be under way.
