Rider Insider: Stay dry this Halloween weekend with activities in Dallas-Fort Worth

• Ride the DART Rail Green Line to Fair Park Station or MLK, Jr. Station Saturday for the 10th Annual Diwali Mela at the Cotton Bowl in Fair Park! There will be a Ram Lila performance, Ravan Dahan, a Laser Show, a Pony Ride, an inside stage with non-stop entertainment by local and Bollywood entertainers, a Kids Corner, fireworks, door prizes and approximately 140 vendors with booths set up selling food and other South Asian non-food merchandise offering a unique shopping experience. • Ride the DART Rail Green Line and Orange Line to Victory Station Sunday for Buddy Walk® put on by the Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas.  Over the past fourteen years, the event has expanded to include bounce houses, a rock climbing wall, dj, face painting, games, food trucks, and vendor tents. The purpose of the Buddy Walk® is to help promote acceptance and inclusion of individuals with Down syndrome. It is an inspirational and educational event that celebrates the many abilities and accomplishments of people with Down syndrome. Join the walk at the AT&T Plaza at the American Airlines Center, 2500 Victory Ave. There are activities from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and the walk begins at 1:00 p.m. Information: kintera.org.
