DART lends hands, modified buses to National Veterans Wheelchair Games

The National Veterans Wheelchair Games are coming to the Dallas-area and DART is lending a hand, and a couple dozen buses to help the athletes travel to the different venues all across the greater Dallas area.

Twenty-five of DART’s longer, 40-foot buses have been modified to allow a greater number of wheelchairs on board. To do this, 11 passenger seats have been removed and wheelchair harnesses have been added for secure and safe travel. DART is also providing volunteer support at some of the venues.

Compare the photos below to see how the modified buses compare to the standard configuration.
