Rider Insider: Find things to do this weekend in Dallas-Fort Worth

• Ride the DART Rail Red Line to Dallas Zoo Station Saturday for Safari Nights concert series features live music from original songwriters and tribute bands, extended hours and a chance to mingle with some of the Zoo’s wildest stars. Guests can embrace a blend of nature and live music on shady Cat Green. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs to enjoy the show, or reserve a six-person cabana! Get close to stars of the Zoo’s Animal Adventures outreach program and catch a special presentation of DinoSOAR, presented by Kimberly-Clark, the dynamic, interactive wildlife show featuring birds and mammals from all over the world. The concerts, which start at 7:00 p.m., will bring music to Texas’ largest zoo until 9 p.m. Food will be available for purchase, along with soft drinks, cold craft beer and wine. Coming up this Saturday, enjoy The Relatives (psychedelic gospel funk). The Dallas Zoo is located at 650 South R.L. Thornton Frwy. Information: dallaszoo.com.

• Ride the DART Rail Green Line to Farmers Branch Station, then an approximate 1/2 mile walk Saturday for the Farmers Branch Vintage Base Ball Festival from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Farmers Branch Historical Park, 2540 Farmers Branch Lane. Six games of vintage base ball will be played throughout the day by the Farmers Branch Mustangs, the Irving Estelle, the Carrollton Elites, and the Plano Wildcats. Admission is free. The Friends of the Farmers Branch Historical Park will rent chairs for $2.00 and sell concessions from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Information: www.farmersbranchtx.gov.
