Sometimes the crossing arms at our light rail tracks will malfunction and continually stay down. What should you do when this happens? 1) Never, ever drive around the crossing arms. When the arms are down, always assume a train is close. 2) If you believe the crossing arms are malfunctioning. Contact the DART Police at 214-928-6300. Dispatchers can alert our maintenance staff to the possible malfunction and send DART Police offers to the scene to manage the intersection and safely allow cars to pass.
