• Ride the DART Rail Green Line to Deep Ellum Station or Baylor University Medical Center Station this weekend for the Deep Ellum Arts Festival. The events transforms six blocks of Main Street in the Deep Ellum entertainment district into one enormous street festival. Featured are 200 top-notch decorative and visual artists, 100 original bands and singer/songwriters performing from four different stages, the renowned Pet Parade, and enticing foods and drinks. Festival attendees can stroll through displays of cutting-edge decorative arts and admire, commission, and purchase the works of sculptors, muralists, jewelers, painters, leather and wood crafters, and other specialized fine artists, some of whom will be creating pieces on the spot. Admission to the festival is free. Information:www.deepellumartsfestival.com. • Ride the DART Rail Red Line to Dallas Zoo Station for the Giants of the Jurassic exhibit, featuring more than 20 roaring, animatronic dinosaurs, plus the world-renowned, interactive theater puppet experience of Erth's Dinosaur Zoo Live. The exhibit will be free with zoo admission, so guests pay no additional charge to explore the land before time. The Dallas Zoo is located at 650 South R.L. Thornton Frwy. Information: dallaszoo.com. The exhibit runs through September 7.  Find more events like the Folklorico Dance Festival on our Rider Insider Online Calendar or in the brochures found on DART light rail vehicles or buses.
