News bits DART helping Downtown Plano's resurgence

Junction-15-Downtown-Plano-Station-4-4-14_1 The Plano Star Courier and Community Impact Newspaper both took a look at the current state of Downtown Plano and came to a similar conclusion: Things are going really well and DART is partially to credit for that. From the Community Impact:
But more businesses and restaurants began moving to downtown in response to the development and the DART line. The apartment complex was such a success that developer Amicus Partners wanted to do another downtown project, which led to Eastside Village II opening in 2002, Turner said.

"Since DART's arrival in Plano, the city has been focused on revitalizing its historic downtown with numerous public improvements and new community developments like Junction 15,” said Plano Deputy City Manager Frank Turner in a press release. “These transit-oriented developments are breathing life back into the city center."
